- It’s time to redefine social media.
More of a change of mindset, than a strategy… it’s time to consider social media as a channel. Social media in and of itself is not marketing. It is a tool to deliver marketing that requires a solid strategy and integration with other platforms. Don’t treat social media as an island!
- Go mobile!
There is no longer time to put this off! Consider where you spend the majority of your browsing time… I’d bet your answer is on your mobile device. Don’t wait any longer and at least make sure your website is mobile-friendly. Other mobile friendly trends you may consider are a custom app and mobile-targeted campaigns.
- Try your hand at video.
I’m sure you’ve heard it – people are increasingly consuming videos for both education and entertainment. It’s important to consider what platform makes the most sense for you, whether it’s YouTube, Vine, Periscope, or one of many other video or live streaming sites.
- Don’t forget about content!
Regardless of what marketing trends and strategies you employ, content is the key to the success of any campaign. Consider tactics such as storytelling, blogging, and collaboration with brand influencers.
